Arrived early in the morning to Colòn which is the capital of Colòn province in Panama. It sits on the Caribbean coast at the entrance of the Panama Canal. The canal expansion observation center is a park with viewing platform over the canals Atlantic locks and Gatun lake. The vast Colòn free trade zone is a tax-free shopping. Not the prettiest or most interesting places to visit but this is where we have to get the boat measured for the crossing tomorrow!!! With nothing to do there we are off to the city for fun with friends.we are so excited for the crossing of the historic canal.
