Long days trying to get to Leon, Nicaragua. Ended up having to fly as there was a landslide from a bad storm that came through. On the drive we found people selling iguanas for 8-12$ for a meal!!! We tried to buy them to let them go, but the guide said that we had enough evidence with the photos to get them in trouble. It’s illegal to catch and sell iguanas and you could go to jail for 6 years. Hope they get caught😬 

Later we met a group of Swiss Italians( 24 people with 10 cars) that were driving the Pan America route Argentina through Central America, and up to Canada!! (They said almost 12.000 miles and  almost 2 years😀) they were so excited to hear the kids speak to them in Italian( grazie senora carini) and asked us to join….  anyone want to start planning that trip???
