Aruba is known as one of the region’s main wreck diving destinations. Today we dove Antilles, a 400 foot German supply ship that is the latest shipwreck in the Caribbean. During WW1, Aruba was a major supplier of calcium phosphate used in fertilizer production as well as for explosives. On May 10th, the Germans invaded the Netherlands and took over any boats in the waters of peaceful island of Aruba and sunk it!! This wreck is filled with tropical fish, shrimp and lobster and many coral and sponges!!!
