Day 137, curaçao 🇨🇼

Less then four hours and we arrived in Curaçao. Curaçao is a Lesser Antilles island country in the southern Caribbean Sea and the Dutch Caribbean region, about 65 km north of the Venezuelan coast. It is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is the largest and most industrialized island in the Netherlands Antilles of the three ABC islands. Willemstad is the capital of Curaçao and the islands only city. In 1997 this historic city and its natural harbor were added to UNESCO’s list of world heritage site. Did you know that traditional houses in Curaçao have a special feature in their kitchen? White polka dots on red walls are painted because flies and mosquitoes detest them! The dots make their heads spin, so they stay out of the kitchen. Clever!!!
