Day 110, Manaus( no wifi)

Manaus, on the banks of that and Negro river in north western Brazil, is the capital of the vast state of Amazonas. It is a major departure point for the surrounding Amazon rainforest. Just east of the city, the dark Negro River converges with the brown, muddy Solimões river resulting in a striking visual phenomenon called’ the meeting of the water.” The combined tribute Terry’s form the Amazon river.

Another early morning departure( arrived in Manaus at 2.30 am😫) and A long and bumpy 5 Hour Drive from Manaus we arrive deep into the jungle of the Rio Negro to our jungle lodge Anavilhanas. First up archery classes using handmade arrows and bows by the indigenous people for hunting birds and fish.
