The Iguazu falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu river on the border of the Argentina province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Parana. They are the largest waterfalls system in the world!! Iguazu means “big water” and was formed due to volcanic eruption but legend says otherwise. Legend says that a god wanted to marry a beautiful girl named Naipi against her will. She tried to escape with her mortal lover Taroba in a hand carved canoe in the river. When the God found out he was so out raged that he split the river into two so that the two lovers would be condemned to an eternal fall and thus Iguazu Falls was created.
