After several flights cancelled we reunited with Athena to travel to Atacama!!!! So happy to see her after so many weeks💝💝​

​2 hours North by plane border to Bolivia is the magestic Atacama desert, salt flats( not as big as Uyuni), Andes mountain chain and  several active volcanos. This area only gets 3 days of rain( 10 mm) a year!! The formation of Death Valley area are a result of the continental plates hitting into one another. Originally it was the Atlantic Ocean, over thousands of years it dried up into this desert. We all had so much fun running down the sand dunes!!​  it took quite a job to remove all that sand though😩​
