It took 12 hours from Belize to arrive to beautiful Roatan, Honduras. The seas were calm and we arrived safe and sound.  Roatan is the largest of the Bay islands of Honduras. It is known around the world for its scuba diving and snorkeling as it lies on the southern edge of the Mesoamerican Barrier reef system.

Christopher Columbus on his fourth Voyage (1502-1504) came to the islands. Soon after the Spanish began raiding the islands for slave labor bringing and exposing smallpox and measles to the natives and wiping them out.
