Costa Rica is our last stop for this adventure. It was gifted to Christopher Columbus by the Spanish king for finding Central America. San Jose is the capital and their currency is Costa Rican colones (500=1$) About a quarter of the country is made up of jungle. First we stayed in el establo hotel in monteverde,  the rain forest(4662 feet!) is where we zip lined, walked on hanging bridges, and went up on the sky tram above all treetops. Next, we walked to Arenal volcano that last erupted in 2010😳. Its elevation is 5300 feet with a perfectly shaped crater of 140 meters. The age of the rock from this volcano is 7000 years old. To end our day we soaked in the hot springs (96 degrees) coming from the Arenal volcano in La Fortuna. Ahhhhh….
